CrossFit Classes

GROUP CLASSES *1 hour in length

Group classes run approximately 45minutes to 1 hour in length. Classes start with individual focus work in an organized warm-up followed by workout expectations and exercise explanations prior to starting WOD. Workouts are scaled to each individuals abilities, strengths and limitations with a trainer monitoring safety and range of motion throughout the entire workout. You may not participate in a group workout until you have completed your fundamentals sessions or are a current crossfitter from another CrossFit affiliate.


OPEN GYM

Open Gym is a time reserved for all current members of CrossFit Apex who have been with us long enough to know all appropriate scalings and weights for 


themselves. This time is given to work on any missed WODs, skills, lifts, or accessory work. Open Gym sessions will be counted as a visit on your 


membership. Open Gym is included as part of unlimited memberships. Please be sure to note the duration for open gym times as they vary!  


Requirements: 1. Must be a regular attending member of Apex for 2-3 months * Ask a coach if you have questions.

2. Must be attending at least 2 group classes per week.

3. Need to appropriately choose movements and loads to be used safely for your ability level. 

Open gym is a privilege. If you fail to meet the above, we will require that you attend only coached classes.


JUNIOR CLASSES *1 hour in length

(ages 10-16)

*if 9-10-11 years of age you must pre-qualify to enter the junior class, Juniors must be cleared by a trainer, able to drive themselves to Apex and have a current monthly membership in order to move into the group classes. 


Jr high classes run approximately 45minutes to 1 hour in length. Classes start with mobility, body weight skill work or sets and repetitions of a CrossFit functional lift (Presses, Deadlifts, Squats) followed by workout expectations and exercise explanations prior to starting WOD. Workouts are scaled to each individuals abilities, strengths and limitations with a trainer monitoring safety and range of motion throughout the entire workout. You may not participate in a group workout until you have completed your fundamentals sessions or are a current crossfitter from another CrossFit affiliate.


KIDS CLASSES *45 minutes in length

(Ages 2nd grade through 5th grade)

It is a fitness program where kids are taught how to move their bodies the way they were made to move in order to support their everyday lives in an encouraging, supportive atmosphere. Kids will move their own bodies as well as external objects and learn how to do so safely and properly. CrossFit is unique in that it is completely scalable for all ages and abilities and teaches each individual how to improve their own strengths and weaknesses.

TOTS CLASSES

3 to 5 years of age

The tots program is very comparable to the kids classes except for the difference in ages and classes are 30 minutes in length.
