Johanna Yemm (dark blue shirt)  was recently diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. Johanna has been an athlete all her life. She played Division I soccer at Temple University. Johanna also played Lacrosse and Field Hockey at the Division I level. While at Temple she was captain of her team and a leader in the student athlete advisory council. She was recently inducted into Upper Dublin High Schools Athletic Hall of Fame.

On October 15th, 2013 Johanna was diagnosed with invasive inflammatory breast cancer at the young age of 33. Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is a rare and very aggressive disease in which cancer cells block lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. IBC accounts for 1 to 5% of all breast cancers diagnosed in the United States. IBC progresses rapidly, often in a matter of weeks or months. IBC cancer is either stage III or IV at diagnosis, depending on whether cancer cells have spread only to nearby lymph nodes or to other tissues as well.
