I was born in March of 1982 and I am an old mommy of 2 who gets to help great people move better for a living. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2004 with a bachelors degree in Sport Management. During my 4 years at GSU I played goalkeeper for the women's D1 soccer team. In 2007 I received my Teaching Certification from West Chester University.  I taught Health and Physical Education at Quakertown High School for 3 years but now manage CrossFit Apex full time as well as raise my kids full-time. I teach 5 year olds through 85 year olds and still get my dose of the high school kids as well!  I've always loved working out, but since starting CrossFit training I can't imagine doing anything else, and doubt I ever will. Anything else would feel like a waste of my time, waste of my potential and waste of my inner drive. Our community at Apex is amazing and our workouts will leave you physically exhausted and mentally stronger for the next time. This is the most addicting training program around. The best part about it is it works. It makes an overall fitter you, and your everyday life physically will be easier. Once you start it will change your life...that's a promise!

I was born September 1981 and I currently a high school health and physical education teacher. I grew up in the local area and graduated from North Penn High School in 2000. I have a Bachelors of Science from West Chester University where I was also a four year member - junior and senior captain of the Division II baseball program from 2001-2004. In the summer of 2008 I completed my Masters Degree in Education from Wilkes University.

I have always had a great passion for fitness whether it was weight training or sports. Throughout high school I had participated in Football, Wrestling, Basketball and Baseball. I love helping others develop the love for health and wellness especially teenagers and adults. As I have developed as a coach and teacher over the last 10 years I continue to love teaching more and more each year. The impact of teaching teenagers as well as middle aged men and women is priceless. Being able to watch the confidence and physical gains of each individual is truly amazing. Since I've found CrossFit in 2008 I have loved the physical and mental challenges I've experienced along the way. I now look back at the hours spent in the gym and can't believe the amount of potential I was wasting. I am more fit now in my 30's than I was in my collegiate athletic 20's. Training new crossfitters is always a great joy. Once you get your feet wet with CrossFit there is No turning back. I PROMISE. My am so grateful to be able to be living my passion through teaching Health and PE as well as coaching at my own gym. I am also a blessed father of two wonderful children that I can't wait to see every morning I awake. AJ Rustin and Kenzie Piper.

In 2013 I experienced an injury, something I fortunately never had to deal with through my collegiate athletic career. This injury changed my life in many ways. I've become a better trainer taking focus from myself and realizing how much I can help to encourage and coach others. My purpose for coaching has been significantly magnified going through this set back. Secondly I have become more understanding and able to give better advice to those that deal with minor and major injuries and surgery's. My purpose to be a coach has been made even more clear. Come experience your potential. I triple doggy dare you.

My name is Melissa and I have been doing CrossFit for about five years with Apex.  Since starting,  I have never even once considered taking on another form of exercise.  CrossFit has become my passion and I am fortunate enough to be able to share that passion with others at Apex when I train.  I currently amone of the trainers for our junior teen class and run the CrossFit Kids class that includes our 2nd through 4th graders.  There is nothing that makes me happier than knowing I am changing the lives of young people by teaching them how to be healthy through exercise and nutrition.

Along with being a trainer at Apex, I am also a Health and Physical Education teacher at the Quakertown Freshman Center in the Quakertown Community School District.  I am fortunate enough to teach in a district that supports our health and PE programs and sees the value in teaching young people how to be fit and increase their quality of life through exercise.  My curriculum is fitness-based so I can continue to take my knowledge and experience of Crossfit and teach it to my freshman students.

I am very proud to be a member of the CrossFit Apex training team.  I have never met a more dedicated, motivating, passionate, and driven group of people in all of my life.  The positive energy that this group of trainers passes on to their clients is contagious and addicting….you can’t help but want to walk through their doors over and over again once you have had the experience of the Apex community.

I currently live in Telford, PA with my wife Missy and our beautiful baby girl Quinlyn, who was born on April 14, 2013.  I attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2001 to 2008 where I earned an undergraduate degree in athletic training, then continued my education and received a clinical doctorate in physical therapy.  While I completed my clinical affiliations at Pitt, I had the opportunity to evaluate and rehab athletes from the various sports teams on campus.  Then during my senior year of undergrad, I was selected for a season long athletic training internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers.  I am currently working as an outpatient physical therapist and treat a wide range of patients with orthopedic injuries.

I held a typical gym membership for many years and would go through cycles of being consistent, then stop going for a month.  One day I noticed a CrossFit sign while driving home from work and talked my wife into checking it out.  I have always been an active person and love challenging myself to learn and try new things.  I have never been so humbled, but immediately knew that I needed more.  I have been a member at Apex since March 2012 and a coach since November 2013 and can not truly put into words what an awesome community there is at Apex.  There is so much more that CtossFit has to offer then just a good workout, and I encourage everyone to at least give it shot.  CrossFit has completely changed my life and I now feel like I am a better father, husband, son, brother and friend because of it.

I grew up in Chalfont, Pa and went to Central Bucks High School South. While at CB South I played soccer and basketball. After high school, I attended Temple University and played collegiate rugby for the Owls. In 2012, I graduated from Temple with bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Teacher Certification in Health and Physical Education. Having always been involved in sports, I developed a passion for fitness and a love of learning about the physical capabilities of the human body. I am always looking for the latest and greatest way to get in shape. During my senior year of college, I stumbled upon CrossFit and I have not looked back since. Becoming a member at Apex in the fall of 2012 was truly one of the best things that have ever happened to me. I quickly became addicted to the workouts and every aspect the community has to offer. CrossFit has not only brought me to a higher level of fitness, but has shaped me into being a better person. Becoming a trainer allows me to share all that I have learned with every athlete at Apex.

I am a 35-year-old father of two who grew up in the Harrisburg area, where I graduated from Central Dauphin East High School.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been a lover of all sports, especially those that tested endurance and mental toughness. I was a YMCA national level swimmer, a competitive runner and a soccer player growing up but also dabbled in basketball, baseball, rock climbing, and triathlons.

I continued my education at Bloomsburg University, where I pursued a degree in Mass Communications (Journalism) while a four-year member and senior-year captain of the Bloomsburg University Men’s Soccer team. It was during this time at BU when I started coaching both soccer and swimming and realized that working with children in an athletic forum was something I really enjoyed.

I moved to the Bucks/Montgomery County area in 2003 with my wife Lauren, who is a Pennridge HS grad. I spent a few years experimenting with different employment opportunities before deciding I wanted to be a coach for a living. In 2012 I took over as the Head Swim Team Coach at the Ambler Area YMCA and last spring was promoted to Youth Sports Director. I now spend my days conceiving, creating and coaching varied sports programs for all ages.

My CrossFit “Journey” began in April of 2013 when I was seeking a way to stay competitive in a non-contact sport. Many years of post-collegiate soccer were beginning to exacerbate injuries suffered as a young athlete and I needed a way to stay active. A recommendation from my sister to try CrossFit resulted in me checking out CrossFit Apex, a move that has honestly changed my life.

Among other things, CrossFit has provided me with a new knowledge of and excitement for fitness, a ton of new relationships, an outlet for my competitive nature and a healthy environment to grow as a person.

As I begin my tenure as a CF trainer, I look forward to passing on some of these CrossFit “benefits” to both current and future Apex members!

I currently live in Sellersville with my wife Pam and our 2 awesome children, Madison and Tyler.  I graduated from St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, and have a degree in Sociology & Criminal Justice from Millersville University. Currently I am the IT Business Intelligence Manager at Impax Laboratories in Chalfont, PA.

I’ve always had a passion for sports from basketball in grade school to cross country and pole vaulting in high school. In 2007 I decided it was time to check off more life goals, goals which usually centered on pushing my physical and mental limits. In 2009 I checked off running a marathon, and then the following year checked off one of my biggest goals, qualifying for the Boston Marathon which I ran in 2011. My passion for running grew from the street into the wilderness, quickly falling in love with trail running.

In 2012 while training to run the Grand Canyon from the South Rim to the North Rim and back to the South Rim in one day, I knew I had to do more than running to prepared for that challenge. Enter CrossFit.  Never was I so humbled being an ‘endurance’ athlete, not being able to do a single pull-up on my first day.  Not only did CrossFit help me complete the Grand Canyon run in 15 hours, it then help me check off many more endurance challenges, such as completing 24 Hour Endurance Races, many 50K’s, a 50 Miler and it no doubt was vital to me completing my first 100 Mile Race in 27 hours. I am convinced there is no way I personally could not have achieved all that without the programming that CrossFit provides.

Since joining Apex and its incredible family, I feel more compelled than ever to give back and hopefully help everyone achieve their personal goals whatever they may be.  The energy, compassion, and genuine comradery that exist inside the walls of Apex and outside the box is what CrossFit is all about to me as an athlete and coach. I’ve been in awe of the Apex community since day one, and look forward to keeping the incredible sense of community amongst all the members alive and thriving for many, many years to come.

I grew up in Souderton, PA where I attended Souderton Area High School. I played several sports growing up, including soccer, basketball, and 3 years of baseball at Souderton. After graduating, I went to Temple University where I studied Secondary Education/History, and am now teaching at the middle school level where I am able to pursue my passion for teaching. While in college, I was introduced to CrossFit and have been a member at CrossFit Apex since 2013. At first, the competitiveness of CrossFit and competing with a clock got me interested, but the community I have been able to call my second home has kept me coming back ever since! It is a pleasure to be able to train athletes at Apex because it allows me to continue two of my passions in life, teaching and CrossFit.
