"Saks" on Saturday WOD and Social

We are all set for Saturday's "Saks" WOD, and we are so excited that everyone can make it out for this special workout. We will be having coffee and treats following the wod until 9:30 when the baseball team has class. Please plan to stay and hangout with everyone. If you have a yummy new recipe you've been wanting to make here is your chance. We have a bunch on our Apex wiki page if you need any ideas.

Will you be attending?

 We need to get a head count by THIS FRIDAY Jan. 20th. of anyone who will be attending next Saturday's Beef and Beer Benefit in memory of Mike Saks. We have tickets for sale ($30) at Apex or you can order them online at http://www.mikesaksbenefit.com/. 

Anyone Apex Member who will be attending the benefit will be placed in a drawing for a chance to win 1 free t-shirt, 1 strength cycle, or 1 free PT session. Come in to class on Saturday the 28th at 8am and participate in our WOD "Saks" and then stay for  the drawing and a cup of coffee.

APEX SPOTLIGHT

New for the 2012 we will feature an athlete from Apex once a month as the Spotlight Athlete at APEX. They will be featured on the website represented by a picture and information so that we can all get to know one another a little better than just the name in the am class or that saturday firebreather. Beef and Beer

As many of you know Mike Saks, Apex Crossfitter Sharon Saks' husband, is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. Heʼs in great spirits and receiving the best care possible. Updates on Mikeʼs treatment and care are available on www.carepages.com, just sign up, login and search MIKESAKS. On January 28, a beef and beer is being held at Marjeane Caterers in Lansdale. 100% of the proceeds from the event will go back to the family to help defray some of the cost and hardship endured during Mikeʼs treatment.

To give moral support to Sharon, we'll also be having a special WOD at 8 am that morning as part of our walk with Sharon through this. It's simply called "Saks."
